St Valentine’s Dinner & Dance – 2024
It was a full house for the annual St Valentine’s Dinner & Dance at St Mary of the People Parish.
There was no shortage of laughter, smiles, great food (courtesy of Sabrina’s) or dancing as roughly one hundred parishioners celebrated the evening.
Plus, a few folks walked away with some great prizes, including cash from the 50/50 draw and a 4-pack of Oshawa General’s tickets, which were generously donated.
Hosted by the Knights of Columbus Council 8611, a special thank you to other councils who attended, including St Joseph’s, St Gertrude’s, St Gregory’s, St Hedwig’s and the Notre-Dame Council.
A particular thank you to Brother Don Potter who organized the entire event and who worked tirelessly with his wife to ensure a great time was had by all. We also want to thank our emcee Paul Power, our DJ Mel Buddel, our bartender Murray Castor as well as numerous other knights and volunteers who helped create a special evening for all those who attended!
