38th Annual Golf Tournament

Always a fantastic time and a fantastic event, dare I say the weather was also… fantastic! (It really was).

And so it’s no surprise that the 38th annual St Mary of the People Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament was a huge success.

Apart from our bingo volunteering, this is the council’s single largest fundraiser so it goes without saying that we should thank our sponsors.

Of note Sailun Tire made a generous donation of a set of tires, which was a hot commodity on our raffle draw.

As well, we want to thank: Subaru Canada, Jewellery by Sanders, Armstrong Funeral Home, the Oshawa Airport Golf Club as well as cash and prizes from council members Don Potter, Paul Power and Roy Druce.

As in the past, profits from the event will be distributed to local charities. Our tournament’s success has been due, in large part, to the generosity of sponsors such as these!

Additional sponsors including hole sponsors include:

Thanks also goes out to the other local councils who supported the event, including St Joseph the Worker, Notre Dame, St Gertrude’s and St Hedwig’s.

An incredible special thanks to Paul Power and Roy Druce who organize this incredible event every year. Plus, none of this would be possible without the amazing women who work tirelessly behind the scenes: Lou, Frances, Laura, Steve and Irena.
