St Mary’s Council Supports the 10th Annual Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation Gala
The 10th Annual Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation was a roaring success and a fantastic evening all in support of children and families in our community.
Numerous members of the clergy were in attendance, in particular the Most Reverend Bishop Vincent Nguyen. As well, there was MPP Lorne Coe, several councillors and a few local Mayors too, in addition to all of the brass from the Durham Catholic District School Board.
St Mary’s Council 8611 supported the event as a Platinum sponsor. Brother Stan Karwowski and myself (Colum Wood) attended with our wives for the event. (Of note, both brother Stan and my wife are members of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation board).
Thanks to the council for supporting this initiative which provides funds for needy members of our local Catholic schools.
