Happy New Year 2025!

With a long history of partnering on events, our council once again teamed up with the Knights of Columbus council from St Gertrude’s parish to ring in the New Year!

Just shy of 100 revellers partied at the St Mary’s Hall until 2025 thanks to the tunes of DJ Mel Buddel.

In addition to the co-operation of the two councils, there was also participation from the Knights of Notre Dame and St Joseph of the Worker. And thanks to St Gregory’s Knights for their door prize donation of Oshawa Generals tickets.

Clergy in attendance included Fr Joel of St Mary’s as well as Fr Michael Hughes of St Gertrude’s. Also in attendance were Deacon Andrzej Rychlicki of St Gertrude’s, as well as Fr Bollo.

MC duties were handled by none other than our District Deputy Ken Cavanagh.

Special thanks to Ian Francke and St Gertrude’s Grand Knight Andrew Stewart. Without their leadership this event would not have been possible.

Also thanks to Fred Tuccia, the Columbian Squires for the tasty roast beef dinner, as well as an assortment of other helpers who made this event possible.
