Oktoberfest 2025

With the days of October slipping by, we just squeezed in our annual Oktoberfest dinner and dance. And in so doing we kicked off a new season of activities for the St Mary of the People Knights of Columbus!

Special thanks to clergy in attendance including Fr Marijan Sisko of St Gregory the Great and Fr David Bollo – who not only honored us with grace, but also managed to win a bottle of wine.

We’re always grateful to have the support of other local councils who attended, including St Gertrude’s, St Gregory’s, St Hedwigs and Notre Dame.

Also thanks to the sponsors of our raffle prizes including St Gregory’s Knights of Columbus Council who donated the two sets of Oshawa Generals tickets, as well as Rosa Stano, daughter of Brother Nino, who donated two $50 gift cars to Jack Astors!

Volunteers were plentiful and helped make this event possible. Thanks to Roy and his wife Laura, Steve and his wife Irena, Nino and his wife Frances, as well as to Lou, Gina, Paul and Gary. And let’s not forget Brendan Lehman as the DJ and Joe Miniaci behind the bar! (A special thanks to Brother Steve Kralj for organizing this social event).

As it’s pretty important to keep up abeer-ances, it was nice to see everyone looked so brew-tiful. It truly was a kegs-cellent group and everyone had an un-beer-lievable time!
